Filmmakers' Ambitions is a club on the University of California, Davis Campus. As many filmmakers know, getting ahead and around the film industry is not easy. It is all about who you know. This club was created to form a network of filmmakers. The main purpose of the club is to further our own experiences, help each other gain film experience, and to have fun along the way.

There are only two things that the club requires of its members. The first requirement is that each member attend one meeting an academic quarter. The other requirement is that each member in some way put some input into a film or film project.

The benefits definitly outweigh the requirements. At each meeting of FA a member researches, teaches, and discusses a topic that the club chooses. Everyone teaches each other as we constantly learn new things that further us as we get closer to breaking through the to the film industry. As a member if you simply put "in association with FA Films" at the beginning of your film. Your film is now apart of FA. And FA will showcase your film both online, and during on campus showings. So what are you waiting for? Come to a meeting!

Filmmakers’ Ambitions is a club made possible for those who are interested in pursuing careers in industry and/or independent film. The club emphasizes that only through the filmmaking community can one have a base from which to build a career on. By joining the club and attending meetings, you meet others who are going through the same undertakings that you are. As you get to know everybody who is interested in filmmaking at UCD, you begin to see other filmmakers, not as competition in this crazy film business, but as CONNECTIONS.

From fun group activities, to technical demonstrations, to showcases, to insider presentations... Filmmakers’ Ambitions has it all!

Basically - we are a student organization/club for ANYONE who wants to pursue filmmaking as a career or hobby. This includes Directors, Editors, Producers, etc. (Anybody who works behind the scenes)

In a club that emphasizes collaboration and networking - we feel that being given the opportunity to work with others at and above our level of skill leads toward improvement and eventually mastery.

We are always expanding and creating many short, mini-feature, and feature films. If you would like to join us in these endeavors - JOIN THE CLUB! We expect you will have a very good time - and perhaps you'll gain something along the way.
